NPKA Prison Outreach

NPKA uses donated books on various Asatru topics. These include The Poetic Edda, Prose Edda, anything on runes (not Blume books), Norse mythology, etc. These are given to the chaplain's libraries at the facilities for inmate use. We also supply, as we can, a Poetic Edda to each inmate for their personal use.

Another need is altar kits for facilities.
You may also choose to donate an altar kit to a facility. The kits consist of a sumbel horn approximately. 12" - 18" (decorated or undecorated), blot bolli 6" ( plain or carved with elder futhark runes), and altar cloth approximately. 2'x 3' your choice of colors undecorated. Fabric used is cotton blend. Other fabrics available by special request.
"Basic" altar kit (undecorated horn, fabric and bowl) costs $30 and includes postage to the facility.
"Decorated" altar kits are $40 and include postage to the facility. Decoration of knot-work around rim.
"Special Order" kits, specify decoration of three runes for horn, and specific runes for blot bolli. The cost for these is $60 and includes postage to the facility. We have Special Order horns with other decorations or larger sizes, also bowls and altar cloths with runes are available. Pleas contact us for price quotes of your request. Items can be donated to the facility only, and not a particular inmate. The facility must be in the continental U.S. or ground to HI. Airmail and expedited rates are higher. Horns are coated with Envirotex an epoxy polymer for ease of cleanup. As nothing alcoholic is allowed in the facilities, beeswax is not very sanitary and can cause bacteria to grow. Envirotexed horns can be washed out with soap and water unlike beeswax. The horns the ministry uses are envirotexed ones and they work extremely well. Once inmates parole, we supply them with clothing, household goods and non-perishable foods as funds allow. Monetary donations are gratefully accepted and you may provide a list of what you wish the donation spent on.

Charity Outreach:

We also accept donations for our charity outreach. These funds go to any pagans/heathens who are in need. Items include: Clothing, household goods (dishes, small appliances, linens) some furniture, baby items (diapers, formula, cribs), and non-perishable foods. At this time we cannot accept donated items due to lack of storage space. We do have a fund for those needing assistance.

If no designation has been made on donated checks, NWAM reserves the right to apply your generous donation to either of our programs (NPKA - Prison Outreach and/or the Charity Outreach Fund).
